About Catrin
Catrin (Catalogue of Transcriptional Regulatory Interactions) integrates data obtained from 9 independent resources, including transcription factors
(TF) - target genes (TG) interactions.
Catrin contains ~4 million unique TF-TG associations, involving 1,813 putative TFs and covering about 33 thousand TGs, providing greater coverage than other integrative resources of this type. All the entries in Catrin underwent standardization with respect to the recent nomenclature (HGNC, May 2024).
To express overall confidence of the given TF-TG interaction, each interaction was assigned a ratio derived from the number of sources where the interaction occurred over the number of sources where both the TF and the TG are present. We also provide TFs annotations from two external databases.
Catrin allows programmatic access via API.
